Literally everybody enjoys watching "Life of Brian"
If I am being honest, it took me a little longer to figure out what the word enjoyable means to me and it was even harder to pick a movie within my genre, which suits all these criteria. After browsing a long time through Netflix without really finding something *special*, I remembered that DVDs still exist: and I went to take a look into my parents’ DVD-shelf.

Plot:
‘Life of Brian’ is a 1979 British Historical Comedy-movie, written and directed by the Comedy-group Monty Python. Basically, it is about Brian, a young Jewish-Roman man, who gets mistaken for the Messiah, because he was born the same day in the same area.
Why do we enjoy watching the movie?
The movie is quite easy to watch and you have a few good laughs while watching
it, but don’t really think about it after switching off the TV. Although the
jokes can be pretty dark and sometimes even a little reckless, I found the
movie hilarious. And believe me, I'm not the only one.
Also, ‘life of
Brian’ brings in my opinion great comfort. It reminds me of Christmastime
during my childhood and spending time with my loved ones. Watching a movie over
and over again, listening to the same jokes and making fun of the most of the
time badly written characters makes the movie worth watching. In my family these jokes became running gags and my dad doesn't hesitate to tell them a little too often.
Also, the
characters are most of the time a bit awkward and clumsy, which makes them at
least a little relatable to all of us.
But it needs
to be said that even though I enjoy watching it, it doesn’t mean it is a
good movie: which in my opinion it is certainly not. The historical accuracy is
pretty vague and the visuals are definitely not a Highlight. (We can’t forget: the
movie was made in 1979!). Additionally, the movie doesn’t come with a message
and a certain learning effect. (But are we sure that that’s always necessary?)
Summing up I
can say that ‘life of Brian’ is definitely worth watching, If you’re interested
in switching off your brain for a second and having a few good laughs.
